MISSION STATEMENT:
- BBLMS will maximize the individual potential of every child by combining rigorous classroom instruction with positive relationships between students and teachers.
VISION STATEMENT:
- Bayou Blue Middle School provides a clean, safe, and diverse experience-based learning environment which empowers students to maximize their potential with the support of dedicated staff, parents and the community.
HISTORY:
- Bayou Blue Middle School opened its doors to the community and welcomed sixth, seventh, and eighth graders in January of 2007. In August of 2010, fifth grade transitioned to Bayou Blue Middle, however due to the ever-growing community fifth grade moved to Bayou Blue Upper Elementary School in August of 2019.
- The majority of our students begin their primary education at Bayou Blue Elementary (PreK-2 grade), transition to Bayou Blue Upper Elementary (3-5 grade), spend their middle years here (6-8 grade), then transition to Central Lafourche High School in Matthews.
